User Activities

Each mentoring relationship requires two parties: a mentee and a mentor. Each party performs different tasks within the mentoring relationship, which Open Mentoring supports. For example:

• Mentees establish a mentoring agreement based on their assessment of their developmental needs.

• Open Mentoring supports mentees in their quest for a mentor, and once they find one they send their mentoring agreement to their chosen mentor via e-mail, which the program facilitates.

• The program leads both mentees and mentors through a negotiation process, reducing the time required to complete this task.
