The general purpose of Open Mentoring focuses on providing mentees a simple, efficient way to create mentoring relationships, measure their effectiveness, and end the relationships at an appropriate time based on evaluations. The design needed to perform a multitude of tasks while appearing simple and quick to the users, communicating the idea that mentoring relationships need not be laborious.
