Project teams are the primary users
of these tools. A team includes project leads, courseware
designers, and developers. The website serves as a flexible
and powerful source of WBT courseware development tools. The
following scenario summarizes how the ELDRC is used in the
WBT product development cycle.
Using the Project Planning Roadmap feature, Project Leads
access tools and resources to support planning and managing a
WBT courseware project. Additionally users can produce
project deliverables such as the Statement of Work, Project
Agreement, and budgets.
Following the initial planning phase, Designers access
Storyboard templates, Design document standards, and Test
plan samples to generate standardized deliverables.
Consistent Design Documents and Storyboards are produced and
shared with developers.
Developers can access the Starting-Point Tool Box for
instant access to Style Guides, Technical Specifications,
Accessibility Standards, and Development Templates. These
tools ensure consistent and compliant courseware is being
developed across the IRS.
