Notes from Gary
11/11/2002 Your papers are due on the 2nd of December.
10/21/2002
Many of the Ted Nelson links in the syllabus have apparently rotted. Here are a few survirors that capture Tel Nelson's work:
10/4/2002
Some of you had difficulty getting the "chapter 9" ZIP files from the web. I changed the format to PDF. The new links have been updated here and elsewhere (syllabus and on the 10/7 page).
9/25/2002
I have re-registered everyone for the WebCT course EDIT7975T2F02, and have also enabled self-registration, just in case there are user name problems. Please send me an e-mail if you still cannot get into the class site.
As discussed on September 9th in class, this WebCT discussion replaces the 9/23/2002 class.
9/24/2002
I have set up a WebCT account for EDIT797 (EDIT-797-5T2-F02). The first posting is a link called Discussion #1 that consists of a business scenario and two questions, based on your recent assignment to review various PCD products. The assignment is to post to the discussion in two ways:
(1) Answer the main questions
(2) Respond to the answers of at least two of your classmates.
The postings are due before we meet next (September 30th), and you will receive 5 points for doing so. I will be responding / participating here and there, so visit the WebCT area frequently. You are invited to participate as much as you wish!
I still have a few more of the assignments to grade. In the meantime, you can review the so-called "answer key" here if you have questions about the tools.
9/23/2002 The class site and syllabus have been updated and are mostly synchronized at this point. I will be making revisions as we go along, but at this point the readings and assignments should be clear. Generally, the readings and assignments listed on the syllabus are due the following week unless otherwise indicated.
